Mass Extraction technology : Operating Principle

Mass Extraction technology consists of measuring the quantity of gas extracted from a sealed test part placed inside a controlled vacuum environment. When the part contains a leak, gas migrates from the internal volume toward the vacuum chamber. The MD-490M continuously extracts and measures this gas flow with high precision.

The test cycle operates as follows:

  • The test part is placed inside a high-vacuum chamber
  • The chamber is evacuated to a controlled vacuum level
  • Gas escaping through leaks is extracted by the vacuum system
  • The extracted mass is continuously measured
  • The measured extraction flow directly corresponds to the leak rate

Mass Extraction combines vacuum technology, precision measurement, and industrial efficiency for next-generation leak testing.

Mass Extraction technology : Physical Principle

He-490M is based on the principle of controlled gas extraction under vacuum conditions. At equilibrium, the extracted gas flow corresponds directly to the leakage escaping from the part.

This enables a direct physical measurement of leakage without relying on pressure decay interpretation.
